After wearing contacts and glasses for almost 25 years, I decided to look into LASIK surgery. Several of my co-workers and family members had the procedure with great results. I’d heard about Dr. Colby Stewart on the radio, so I called for an appointment. Dr. Stewart's staff performed the most complete eye examination I have ever had and determined that I was a good candidate for LASIK, so I scheduled my surgery for January 10th.

On the day of my surgery, I was a little apprehensive, of course. The whole process took well under an hour: One pill to relax and some numbing drops for my eyes; one machine (the IntraLase laser) to make the corneal flap; a few minutes of rest; a second laser to make the specifically programmed, custom changes to the cornea tissue; and voila! The procedure was virtually pain-free, and I was sent home to sleep the rest of the day.

At my follow-up appointment the next day, my vision was already 20/20 (what some people call “perfect” vision). At my 1-week, 1-month, and yesterday’s 3-month checkups, my vision had stabilized at a solid 20/15! Better than perfect!

This is absolutely the best investment I’ve ever made for myself. No more contacts or glasses!!! Fortunately, I had money in my cafeteria plan at work at the end of 2006, so I was able to carry it over to 2007 and use both years’ funds to pay for everything. Dr. Stewart offered an 18-month same-as-cash deal, as well!

Dr. Stewart's staff was wonderful. They have perfected the whole process so well that there is no wasted time, no stress, no unnecessary waiting, and no feeling of being hurried or rushed – just plenty of friendly smiles and an eagerness to make the client comfortable. All the while, I felt as though I had joined some exclusive club. What an exciting, life-changing experience!

With Dr. Stewart’s knowledge, skill, and keen eye, and the Will of God blowing my way, everything went painlessly, quickly, and successfully. The whole time in surgery took no more than ten minutes. On my left eye procedure in July, I don’t remember a thing because of the anesthesia.

This time, for some inexplicable reason, I remained conscious through the whole thing, but still experienced no pain or apprehension. I trust Dr. Colby Stewart...

LASIK surgery is probably the best thing I have ever done for myself. In my line of work, glasses are a risky thing…one wrong move in a confrontation, and you’re in a bad spot. I’ve recommended LASIK to several deputies in the department.

If I had known what my outcome was going to be, I would have had LASIK done a long time ago. I would recommend it to anybody that has to wear glasses or contact lenses. It’s so nice to wake up in the morning and see the alarm clock!

I had Clear Lens Extraction Surgery, since I was not a candidate for LASIK surgery…I wanted out of glasses, and Dr. Stewart was able help me. I can see wonderfully now, thanks to Dr. Stewart.
